My Date To The Holocaust Museum by Kara P (26, F, D.C.) "Lesson to all guys: Washington D.C.’s Holocaust Museum is many things: tragic, eye-opening, historic, moving, important, etc. One thing it’s not: a romantic place to bring a first date. And if you decide to forego this advice and take your date there anyway, because you’re both WWII historians, or at least have agreed upon it before hand, as opposed to just surprising your (half-Jewish) blind date... please don’t make matters worse by flirting with the ticket girl. The usual games that pass at bars are sort of awkward at a place commemorating the deaths of 11 million people. When he called about a second date, I tried to help him out by letting him know I just wasn’t feeling the mood of his first date setting choice. And that hitting on the ticket girl at the Holocaust Museum was kind of out bounds on about ten levels. “Whatever,” he snorted, before he hung up. “She was way hotter than you anyway.”"
